jR. / mid level DESIGN ASSOCIATE — FULL TIME, CALCUTTA, INDIA

ROLE —

To work alongside the Creative Director and a team of associates in conceptualising, designing and executing –
i. Visual Identity Systems for the various companies that we consult
ii. Website Design
iii. Branding & Collateral design
iv. Packaging design
v. Inter-disciplinary exhibits across fashion, art, design and experiences

This is a full-time position and the candidate is required to commence work at our studio as soon as possible.
More details about the work can be discussed in the next step of the process.

RESPONSIBILITIES —

i. Coming forth with fresh, well-researched and thought-through ideas
ii. Being an active part of each process of the project assigned to you – from strategic thinking and research to design development and execution.
iii. Creating and executing the designs, incorporating feedback and making iterations until the closing of each project
iv. Creating sketches for any space/exhibit design project and finding effective ways to implement them
v. Liaising with vendors and site visits, if required
vi. Having fun and loving what you do/create :)

JOB TYPE —

Full time. The candidate is required to work from our studio, located at 9/2 Hungerford Street,
Calcutta - 700017.

SKILLS REQUIRED —

Proficiency in designing and editing software’s.
Preferably: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe AfterEffects & SketchUp.
Proficient in written and spoken English; should also be able to communicate thoughts in either Hindi or Bengali.

QUALIFICATIONS —

Bachelor’s Degree in Design and/or similar level of qualification.
4-6 months of work experience in the field of art, design, visual communication or other related field(s)As you would have gathered, the work requires proficiency across media and levels of thinking, but that is where the challenge and charm is. As creative thinkers, everyone has their strengths, and not so strong suits. However, we’re a team that aims to balance that with what everyone brings to the table.
